The Angry Whopper Experience

So I read somewhere that the Angry Whopper at Burger King, which debuted for a limited time only on January 5th, would be pulled from BK’s menus on March 30th. So I went and bought one.

So what is the Angry Whopper? It’s a limited edition Whopper with spicy crispy onions, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, and spicy Angry Sauce.

Jalapenos and spice make everything better. That is fact. And it has bacon, done deal right?

Unfortunately the burger was pretty terrible. I don’t enjoy the Whopper myself, and was stupidly hoping this version would be tasty, but it just didn’t hold up to my expectations.  The red Angry Sauce was more peppery than spicy, the onion rings tasted normal, and the pepper jack cheese produced jack shit in terms of spiciness. The only tinge of spice was the pickled jalapenos but it wasn’t enough for me to enjoy or recommend.

I don’t know if it is still available but don’t go rushing out to check. Waste of my time, but I’m still glad I went for it.
